If you don't want to use those apps, look on the original packaging near the barcode, or on the Surface device or accessory itself. Open the app, select the accessory, and then select Device details. The Microsoft Accessory Center app shows the serial number for Microsoft Modern audio and webcam accessories. Get the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center app Open the app, and then select Support > Device information. The Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center app can show you where to look for the serial number on Microsoft accessories. The serial number for your Surface device is listed under My Surface. For Microsoft Bluetooth accessories that work with Surface, select Battery to see the list. The Surface app shows the serial number for your Surface device and for each Surface accessory. To open the app, type Surface in the search box on the taskbar. To register your Surface device or Microsoft accessory, or to use self-service setup or maintenance options, you’ll need to find its serial number.
